Arrange jumbled words into a correct sentence.

Rules

1. Find the subject first. 2. Then the verb. 3. Then objects and complements. 4. Adjectives go before nouns. 5. Adverbs of manner after the verb; place before time. 6. Capitalise the first word and end with proper punctuation.

Explanation

Jumbled-word exercises test word order. Start from the subject-verb core, then attach the rest.

Practice Questions

Q1. Rearrange: "rain / it / will / think / I / later"

Answer: I think it will rain later.

💡 Opinion + future prediction: I think it will rain.

Q2. Rearrange: "by / cooked / was / mother / dinner / my"

Answer: Dinner was cooked by my mother.

💡 Passive: object + was + past participle + by + agent.

Q3. Rearrange: "if / would / rich / travel / I / I / were / world / the"

Answer: If I were rich, I would travel the world.

💡 Second conditional: if + were, would + base verb.
