Common Errors elementary medium
Placing words in the English Subject–Verb–Object order.
Common Errors — Frequent mistakes Indian learners make.
1. English order: Subject + Verb + Object. 2. Questions: (Wh-word) + auxiliary + subject + main verb. 3. Adjectives before nouns; adverbs of manner after the verb. 4. Place before time: She met him at the station yesterday. 5. Frequency adverbs before the main verb, after "be".
Hindi speakers often follow Hindi order (SOV). English needs SVO: "I saw him yesterday", not "I yesterday saw him".
हिंदी में
हिंदी के शब्द-क्रम (SOV) की आदत अंग्रेज़ी में गलती बनती है — अंग्रेज़ी में Subject + Verb + Object होता है।
