Pronouns

Foundation beginner easy

Pronouns replace nouns to avoid repetition.

Foundation — The building blocks of English grammar.

Rules

1. Personal: I, you, he, she, it, we, they (subject); me, him, her, us, them (object). 2. Possessive: my, your, his, her, its, our, their (before noun); mine, yours, hers, ours, theirs (standalone). 3. Reflexive: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, themselves. 4. Demonstrative: this, that, these, those. 5. Relative: who, whom, whose, which, that. 6. Indefinite: someone, anybody, nothing, each, either.

Explanation

Pronouns must agree with their antecedent in number and gender: "Ravi lost his book" — not "her". Use "who" for people and "which/that" for things in relative clauses.

हिंदी में
