Foundation beginner easy
Prepositions show relationships of time, place and direction.
Foundation — The building blocks of English grammar.
1. Time: at (a time: at 5 o'clock), in (a period: in the morning, in June), on (a day/date: on Monday). 2. Place: at (a point: at the door), in (an enclosed space: in the room), on (a surface: on the table). 3. Movement: to, into, onto, towards, across, through. 4. Other: with, by, for, about, of, from. 5. Prepositions are fixed with certain words: interested in, afraid of, good at, depend on, listen to.
Prepositions are often fixed with specific verbs and adjectives — learn them as phrases: "good at maths" not "good in maths".
