Understanding English sentences in Hindi.

Sentence Skills — Detection, correction, rearrangement and translation.

Rules

1. Identify the subject and verb first. 2. Map tenses: is + -ing → रहा है; has + participle → चुका है; had → था. 3. Translate the core meaning, then add modifiers. 4. Hindi word order (SOV) differs from English (SVO). 5. Recognise common phrases: it's time to, used to, supposed to, about to. 6. Multiple Hindi renderings are acceptable if the meaning is right.

Explanation

English→Hindi practice builds comprehension: understand the English structure, then express it naturally in Hindi.

English→Hindi समझ में वाक्य का मूल अर्थ पकड़ें और फिर स्वाभाविक हिंदी में कहें। Tense markers को पहचानें।

Practice Questions

Q1. Translate into Hindi: "This book is mine."

Answer: यह किताब मेरी है।

💡 Possessive pronoun: मेरी.

Q2. Translate into Hindi: "He was sleeping when I called."

Answer: जब मैंने फ़ोन किया, वह सो रहा था।

💡 Past continuous: सो रहा था.

Q3. Translate into Hindi: "I will come tomorrow."

Answer: मैं कल आऊँगा।

💡 Future: आऊँगा/आऊँगी.
